As per the news by EW, Dexter actress Julie Benz has joined the star cast of very popular ABC series Desperate Housewives. This gorgeous will be portraying the character of Debbie.   Debbie is a stripper who has a heart of gold and a master’s degree. She will be seen in at least three episodes of the show long with the leading star cast of Desperate Housewives.  She will be seen on the show from next month, February. In addition to Dexter, Julie has also performed great roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

In the season 4 finale of Dexter, Julie Benz’s character Rita was murdered off. Her bye-bye to Dexter paved her way to Wisteria Lane. Subsequently, a show filled up of femme fatale gets another gorgeous in form of Julie Benz.     Her fans would be excited to see her on a new show in a new role.

As of now, Desperate Housewives is on air with its sixth successful season. Very recently, on January 3, 2010, viewers enjoyed the episode entitled ‘If…’.
